I ran across the below video and thought I'd share it with Maverick 2.0L EcoBoost owners. He lists 7 mistakes turbo owners generally make in the way they use/maintain a vehicle that is turbo charged. I have had 3 turbo charged cars and my new Maverick Lobo over the last 40 years. I was cautioned on #7 & #6 on my first turbo charged car by the dealer and in the owners manual (a 1986 Mercury Merkur XR4Ti). His #5 & #4 are just common sense. The remaining are more Ford turbo truck related. I find this to be a very good review for anybody with a EcoBoost Maverick.

Outstanding !
Now people may understand why I hate the stop/start feature so much.

Some of the points here are valid, but this is an AI video and channel. Unfortunately, seeing channels like these more frequently now on YT.

Good video. Turbos have come a long way, but every issue mentioned in video is valid. Just an interesting fact: I have 40K miles on my EB and just had the oil changed, which I do every 5K. Just before heading to the dealer for the oil change (at 70 I don't feel like doing it anymore, even with a lift in my garage), I checked my oil. It still had the golden yellow color and was at the correct level after running 5K miles with at least 20% of that 5K towing.

Exactly, spot on. My 25MY Maverick is a Hybrid, but I've owned several Fords with turbocharged engines. Allowing the engine to idle for several (up to 5 minutes) after hard, hot weather engine load is crucial to turbo life. I always installed a "turbo timer", so I could set timer so engine would run for minutes after I exited vehicle with key removed & vehicle locked. I also defeated auto stop.
