Production actually didn't even begin till September 15, IIRC. So I don't think anything before that should be counted as you can't take delivery of something where it has not even been built.

As for taking your money elsewhere, that's your prerogative. I often suggest that to people unhappy with the order process on the forum. If your wants/needs are variable and another car that is currently available fits them, by all means that is what you should do.

For me, personally - and I believe many of us here on the forums - there is no other vehicle that comes close to the combination you get with the Maverick Hybrid. From price, to efficiency, to utility.. it is a very unique vehicle in today's world and there is nothing that I can buy right now that would be anywhere close to the same thing. So I wait.

I’ll ditto this from the eco-boost side. my order is a little truck that can tow 4000lbs with an impressive AWD system, for cheaper than a base honda civic…. There’s no comparison. In canada the maverick starts 12000 dollars cheaper than the santa cruz, its only ‘true’ competition in genre. I too shall wait.
