Been a 185 days (July 29, 2021) since I placed my order. No updates since the original order and of course not yet scheduled for production. No updates from dealer and phone calls to Ford are met with.. "Call you dealer". Add to that looks like prices went up.

I was excited for my first Ford vehicle. But looks like that is not going to happen. Really disappointed in the way Ford has handled this.

I'll give it three more weeks to receive the "scheduled for production" email. That should take me through the middle of February. If nothing heard, the dealer can keep the truck and sell it to some sucker for 5K over sticker.

I'll stick to a trusted brand like Subaru, Honda or Toyota.
Did you make sure that your dealer actually put the order in correctly? Just because you got the email saying that Ford got your order does not mean it was put into the ROVP for the Ford Maverick, it is actually different than what most dealers might know. It is not the same as the COVP that other vehicles go in to be able to get scheduled. Your order must go into the ROVP to actually be previewed and eventually scheduled by Ford. I would call your dealer and have them send you a screen shot of the ROVP to see if it was done correctly. I ordered the 2nd of July and finally got mine this weekend. XLT Hybrid w/Lux and Co-Pilot 360.

I don't expect my truck till after the one year mark of my order on June 25th. I think Ford lied to us telling us to expect our truck in the fall aka Thanksgiving. In reality the hybrid version had not passed the EPA and no way would they have delivered a production model before they got EPA approval. now Ford is diverting chips to standard F-150's which they make a lot more money on than our "cheap" Mavericks. I believe Ford owes us an apology and a discount on the transportation charges or an elimination of them especially if it takes a YEAR to get our truck. I have had to purchase a temporary POS toyota to get around in because of this.

All I ask, is once you walk, don't ever come back
No intention of coming back to Ford messageboard when I don't own a Ford product.

Doesn’t look like you wanted a truck anyway since you’re bow interested in SUV’S. Bye!
Was hoping for the SUV with the bed; but looks like I might just have to get a SUV ;) At least it'll be here on time.

Why do people have to announce their departure?
Hopes of receiving a going away gift?

supposedly Ford monitors these forums. Maybe they can see what people think.

More importantly a chance to let the fanboys and fangirls that a Hybrid Mav is going to be at the dealership and up for grabs... and they can get in front of the price-gouging now.

How many miles on the Accord? Was looking at buying one but the hybrid battery replacement was through the roof!
Just over 22K. We bought used with 18K miles. Currently wife has a 2 mile commute to work and that is her daily driver.

We bought a new Subaru Forester Wilderness last week. We paid a deposit first of December for one of two unspoken for inbound vehicles. The car arrived right when the sales guy told us it would be there through the port of Vancouver. Built in Japan amazingly. So in my experience you’ll have better luck with Subaru unless something’s changed.

The Forester Wilderness fit and finish is really nice and is extremely capable for what it is. Subaru knocked it out of the park.

I will say if it’s up to me I drive the Maverick!
We've owned multiple Subarus going back to the early aughts. That's all my wife's family ever drives having lived in MN. Currently have two Foresters (Premium and Sport) in the family... and we might add another premium to the list.

Still one of the few cars built in Japan...

It's really not Ford's fault that they introduced a model that WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE WANT in the middle of a worldwide supply chain snafu.

Go to your Honda dealer and try to custom order a next Gen Civic Type R...
Go to your Subaru dealer and try to custom order a next Gen STi...
Go to your Toyota dealer and try to custom order a GR Yaris...

Good luck.

When demand greatly outpaces supply, consumers tend to have poor experiences. It's a cruel world when you're a day late and a dollar short.

Go get a yummy Nissan Kick. Nobody cares about them, so your buying experience should be super smooooth. Your driving experience will be boring, and your resale value will be tragic.

I just ordered a Maverick XLT from Granger Ford. I am willing to wait as I have cars that are reliable now(got rid of my 2016 Subaru Forester last August, constant problems, a money pit, and the worst car I have ever owned. It even developed a new problem while driving it to the dealer to trade it in.) and I am retired. If I don't get a 2022 Maverick, I will just order the 2023 model.

I would not give up a Maverick that I ordered even if it is late. In my area, I have one dealer with a $2000. markup over MSRP, one at $5000.00, and a third at $10,000.00. I have seen plenty of new Mavericks listed on FB Marketplace with various prices listed, all over what Ford says the MSRP should be.

Our 2013 Fusion has been reliable only needing rear brakes and a gasket for the engine to stop an oil leak.

Yet you're still posting here.
If you read the title and the OP closely you'll dimly be able to see what is going on.

Its more than dimly obvious. People who are used to instant gratification don't know how to act when they have to stand in line with the great unwashed. What forums were you posting on during the toilet paper shortage last year? I bet those are hilarious.

In my case, I had plenty before the shortage . I even gave some to friends! City folk would call it "hoarding", I would call it "planning ahead".
