Greetings! Just found this forum today, thanks for adding me. I've had my 2026 Lariat Maverick for 1 1/2 months now. I traded a 2013 F-150 FX-4 for my Maverick. So far my wife & I absolutely love it! She hated driving the F-150 because of how big n it was. She loves the Maverick so much that in a few months, we'll be ordering her a ruby red hybrid Lariat. Driving a 13 year old truck, I knew we were going to have additional features in the Maverick, but the difference is so vast, I feel like we were driving Fred Flintstone's car in comparison to what we have now 🤣. My Maverick is Shadow black, but I've added the red tailgate.lettering, and will be adding more red trim soon.. So far, I've added mudflaps (front & rear), in-channel rain reflectors on all four doors, and of course a soft tonneau cover (had that added at the dealership). We were planning on downsizing eventually, since my kids are grown & out of the house, but my old truck accelerated our time line by throwing some check engine codes at us. Since we only have one vehicle, and my commute to work is 56 miles one way, we figured we'd be better off getting a new vehicle sooner, rather than later. We were considering other similar size trucks like the Colorado, Santa Cruz, Ridgeline, etc. None of those could give us the features for price the Maverick did, at least not where we live. That's fine, though, because, as I stated, we ❤ our Maverick. I didn't realize they were as popular as they are, either. Since I've had mine, numerous people, coworkers, friends, a few acquaintances have asked me how I like it, and said they were looking at them and possibly considering buying one. And some of those people weren't what I'd call 'small truck people' 🤣. Anyway, if you made it this far, thank you for reading this. I'm looking forward to getting some ideas and knowledge from this forum, and if possible, maybe helping or inspiring someone else.

Welcome to the club. The tradition of requesting pics continues. Is the wife also thinking about the EB?
Thanks! She pretty much has her heart set on the hybrid. And truth be told, if my car dealer would've had a hybrid on the lot the day we got mine, I would've gone with that, regardless of the trim package myself. As it is, I think after we get her hybrid and drive it for a few months, I 'might' trade my EB in for a hybrid as well, simply because I'm putting 112 miles a day on it simply going back and forth to work. On the picture request, I'll post some next weekend most likely. I want to wait until Amazon delivers my most recent upgrades order 🤣🤣🤣🤣

If your commute is mainly highway keep the EB. I just did a 600 + trip with my EB.
Ford Maverick Thoughts about my Maverick 1 1/2 months in trip2

I used to drive about the same as you before I retired. 2 years in a Equinox getting 31 mpg. 1 year in a Silverado at 18 mpg. Had 32k on it after 1 year. A year after retirement I realized climbing up into a truck sucks. Me and my GF, who is 8 years older, like the egress of the Maverick. And it's comfy cozy for us.

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your Maverick. Sounds or reads you are like the majority here on the site enjoying their Mavericks. I personally think even if dirty to post pictures of you truck. Then post or start another thread, with pictures, from before and after you get whatever you are waiting for from Amazon.

Hope your wife enjoys her new Maverick as well. I would highly recommend babytruk post. Not much city driving in ND and a long way between towns not the best for hybrids. Next because you are retiring and going from one vehicle to 2 trucks, it may sit awhile. That's not the best scenario for a hybrid and highly recommend reading and possibly looking at a battery maintainer to eliminate that deep sleep mode which has several posts on this site. Lastly if she doesn't drive a lot it will take years of fuel savings to make up the initial difference of 1500 for the hybrid. Even though HWY mpg is very close in fuel economy I figured 10 mpg difference and gas at 4 dollars a gallon when I ordered my truck. At 5000 miles a year it would take 9.5 years to make up the 1500 investment. If I got in an accident I would never be able to make up the difference or I wouldn't stare saving at the pump tell after 9.5 years. Another is the extra expense in maintenance down the road oil, batteries for examples. Lastly I drive a lot of 2 lane highway or roads to be frank I need the 250 hp and 277 ft lbs of torque not just for entering but passing. Also off road or heavy snow because not having a 2 speed transfer case the 277 ft lbs of torque at only 3000 rpm on the AWD I saw as a necessity.

Either way whatever she decides on, I hope she enjoys her new Maverick.
