Did you have any issues with having to reset/relearn anything?
I'd hope the battery age and stats didn't reset - since it's the same battery in there!

Good idea on other options though - especially for that long.
Short disconnects I've been surprised the radio kept presets.
And some driver settings were kept, but a couple others were back to default.
Very strange.

I'd like to get a somewhat definitive answer in this. I'm putting an AGM in my hybrid tomorrow.

I'm taking it to the dealer next week for SSM 55215 (the replacement SSM for SSM 54785) to eliminate or greatly reduce the battery drain.

My questions is, should I have the dealership change any of the battery charge settings to accommodate the AGM upgrade or is this something that I should do in Forscan myself? Or, should I just do nothing at all?

After sitting for 24 hours my 2026 Tremor shows me 12.8 VDC.
But it’s only got 5200 miles on the clock.

At 5,000 miles my 2024 EB with an AGM
Rested at about 12.2 VDC.

When you lock it for the 9 hours after the BMS reset shown in the manual - it'll figure out it's an AGM and change the charging strategy.

Don't expect too much out of that SSM unless you really have had some battery drains, and dead battery next morning.

If you just had the normal undercharged and eventually damaged battery issue - those updates won't accomplish much.

If you have Forscan - take some random mornings when you have time - hookup Forscan and look for the BdyCM PID for BAT_QST_Current. Truck can be running, it's a retained value from prior Sleep period, so overnight - shows avg MilliAmps during the time. Should be 25-50 mA.
And that's probably where you'll find it.
Unless your AT&T signal just stinks where it's parked, and it kept trying to connect. In which case no signal probably beats bad signal. Giving up takes less energy than keep trying to connect.

Instead do The Tricks to keep it fully charged.

I have a DVM mounted in the cigarette lighter socket. It reads around 12.8v at rest and around 14.6v when operating. Perhaps not completely accurate but the consistency gives me peace of mind. I have an AGM battery in my '24 hybrid.

Awesome information. I may invest in a light bar then.

A quick question, what did you mean by "When you lock it for the 9 hours after the BMS reset?" I know how to perform the BMS reset and all that, but what is this 9 hours thing?

Thanks, man.

It's the next paragraph in the manual after the Reset - BMS Relearn.
It's the part dealerships aren't going to do - and have yet to hear of one telling the owner to do it after they replaced battery. Very bad considering all the warranty AGM replacements that went in for 22-24MY's.
Says 8 hrs asleep. Takes an hour to go to sleep.
So call it 9.
