You’re looking at this all wrong. Walmart’s net worth is $440 Billion and has some of the best security camera systems in the country. Since they permit patrons to “Boondock” in their parking lots, their isn’t an inch of lot that isn’t being recorded, for liability purposes. Go and ask for the Manager/Assistant Mgr., explain what happens and that you are considering pressing charges. They will give you the loss preventions contact and I’m sure they will help you identify the culprit.
I respectfully disagree, but hope you're right.

The trick is to part in an empty area at the end of the row where one side of the spot is a curb. Park with your tires practically scraping the curb, that way you have the maximum distance between your car and the next guy.

So I mentioned awhile back how the last 4-5 cars we've owned have all been scratched and/or dented in a Walmart parking lot. I don't know why it's so common, I try to park away from people, but it's like the bad luck follows me 😂.

I've included a few examples below, one that's on our explorer that's very bad, and clearly deliberate imo. It's a little hard to see in the pic, so I marked the begging and end with red lines. Then our maverick, which was scratched today. Compared to the explorer, it's mild, it looks like it only took off the clear coat and you don't really notice it until you get close, about 2-3 ft from the truck, but it's still annoying.

I wish more people in society were raised right. Of the 5 times this has happened, I've never once had someone leave money, or insurance information, or even wait around to apologize.

I agree totally !! Most people these days just don't give a f@$# about anything but themselves! And have zero thought process ! I feel your pain . Mine was lightly scratched last month in the parking lot at the shore . Went and bought the touch-up paint pen from my dealer to fix it . So sorry 😔 .

I resent that remark! Not everybody is a scumbag and would run from an accident. I would leave my info to contact me if I'd ever did that. Never have and hope to never have to.
I was one of those people. While pulling out of a space at Lowes with my F150. I clipped the front of a parked car in the lot actually pulled the bumper off. Called the cops. It was at that point I decided to order a Mav. Damn F150 is just to big!

One part of the problem is the narrow parking spots Walmart offers, designed to squeeze as many vehicles as possible into a fixed space. Another other part of the problem are Walmart's customer base. Folks driving 10-20 year old cars don't seem to care if they scratch your new, pristine vehicle. In fact I've seen videos where it's done deliberately. Pro tip - shop at Costco.

Geesh, get over it, I buy tools that get dirty, scratched and occasionally break, the first scratch & dent came at the lumber store, I have a truck not a show piece, Ford's cheap ass paint is flaking off anyway, bought the paint sealer that's supposed to cover the paint and interior but the devil's in the details, fing sales associate won't call me back, so get over it.

I exclusively only go to Wally world off peak hours, and park way out in the seldom used areas to avoid those dings & scratches. Actually, applies to most anywhere we go, which drives my wife crazy. She parks in the closest spot, which explains her car having several dings, and having to smack the bumper back onto its clips twice in three years. - In her mind, it's normal wear & tear, but I'm too OCD or particular, and would need it fixed

Stay out of that dump...you don't catch me at WM.
Depends on your location. I have yet to walk into a horrible WalMart in the Kansas City Metro in 27 years. Some are better than others, Many of the others are older stores. My closest SuperCenter is 27 years old. There has been three remodels and refreshes over the years. Even the parking lot gets repaved on a regular basis. Can't do anything about the people of WalMart, there just part of the scenery. BTW the landscaping at this 27 year old store is magnificent. Always fresh and well kept.

Sorry yours are not like mine.

When you park at a parking lot, do not park downhill from the area that the carts are returned ...

Take a minute to look around and park where gravity won't assist an unattended cart to gaining speed and hitting you vehicle...

..
I do this every time.

It happened to me in a hospital lot. Was aggravated at first but realized it's a truck not a custom car. I'm sure there will be more scratches and dings while I own it. Some me come from me.

Most of my parking lot damage in parking lots was self-inflicted from trying to squeeze my big ass between my vehicle and someone who was obviously taking a bet on how close they could park to me. Really fun when you stay inside too long and get them right up next to you on both sides. In warm weather the jean rivets and in cold weather the jacket zippers were hell on a nice paint job. Seems like this got worse when some lots had "compact cars only" areas that always seemed to attract at least one suburban XXXXL and it would wedge itself in next to me. Parking was the main reason I liked working at the lottery, we had valet parking there and those guys were pretty good at parking.
