we got Used To Search Engines pointing us to the web sites the search uses, leaning towards “most used”.
Ai has the same idea but looks “inside” those assorted web pages. It doesn’t lead you to the site you would personally chose….yet.

Making stuff up is not an error (known as AI hallucinations), it’s garbage that it generates based on all the dribble (total BS people post) that it picks up off the internet and regurgitates to the foolish people that use it. Those who work on AI know it’s trash and will tell you so.

It’s all about your prompts with AI. Give a good prompt and you’ll get a good answer.

Ask “when were gas prices the highest in the US” will likely not yield a great answer.

Yep, and even the search engines are biased. AI generally provides links to sources quoted so a person can verify if they want to. It's not going to be smarter or more accurate than the information already available but simplifies the search and analysis. There are already jobs being replaced or minimized by AI.

For one thing I never said AAA stats were made up, I simply do not take anything AI says at face value. It's about as useful as using Wikipedia as a primary source for getting accurate information.
