the Atlas-Velocity Blue color shuffle

If I'm getting this straight, 23 and 25 Mavericks offer(ed) Velocity Blue, while 24 had Atlas Blue. While the 24 ranger was velocity blue, and the 24 F-150 also atlas blue.

Uhm, why? different paint available in different assembly plants, or . . .

I took my wife to a lot to choose color a couple of days ago. She chose the blue over velocity green, but now I find that that's not the new year's blue.

*sigh* At least we'll be buy a lot with a velocity blue ranger tomorrow (as she turns her hair back red)

Color cycling is common in the auto industry. Provides incentive to buy when folks have a favorite shade of color in mind. If you aren't picky, then it's not a motivator for you.

I actually prefer Atlas Blue to Velocity Blue, and waited for the '25 Ranger Order Guide to come out before deciding to get another AB Maverick. Maybe for '26 (Ranger)?

In all the images I see, I like the atlas better, but it's up to her.

(I actually prefer velocity green, which would be her other choice. But it's her trucklette!)

Atlas Blue is one of the many reasons I'm thankful that I got a '24 and not a '25.

@dochawk, it's Eruption Green BTW, not Velocity Green.

I have a 2023 maverick XLT and it was Atlas Blue. Velocity blue isn't as nice IMO.
