Temperature Codes (ForScan Lite or Torque)

I'd like to keep an eye on my temperatures while towing (oil, transmission, coolant, engine, etc.). But I'm only finding the module for engine coolant temperature. What do I need to be looking for?

An instrument like this might help. My old F250 diesel had displays for engine oil and transmission temperature. Handy when towing a 5th wheel RV.

In Torque, you need to add the Ford-specific PIDs. Go to settings > Manage extra PIDs/Sensors. Press the menu button (three vertical dots) > Add predefined set > Ford (Incl PowerStroke). You will then see a new section of PIDs/Sensors available with [FORD] in the description. You should see one that says [FORD]Transmission Temp, and one that says [FORD]Engine Oil Temp, plus many more.

No problem. I'll take a look, but the post from Tbone289 solved the problem.

Thanks. That did it perfectly. I don't mind using Torque. It just seems odd to me that ForScan doesn't have the needed PIDs.

Well, that didn't work completely. I added the Ford specific PIDs, but when I go to add a real time data display/widget it shows for all the Ford PIDs, "No data received." This happens with both my OBD II devices. One is an inexpensive interface by BAFX Products. It connects via Bluetooth. The other is the OBDLINKEX that was recommended for use with ForScan. It connects to my phone via USB.

Any thought on how I can get these Ford PIDs to work?

You own a hybrid w/ecvt.
Maybe Toyota Prius forum may have some answers???
Here's a few ideas that I was able to paste up from Tacoma world.
Doesn't cost anything to check them out.

I'm not sure. I'm using an old BAFX ELM 327 bluetooth from 2012 on my EcoBoost, and they work.
