TAILGATE WON'T UNLOCK, INTERMITTENTLY.

Every once in a while the tailgate won't unlock on my 2024 XLT Ecoboost. Key won't work either. It sound like it is actuating but nothing happens.
Both times I have come back later and it's working, some times after driving other time just sitting.
Anybody else with similar issue?

Have you tried “leaning in” to the tailgate when you lift up the handle? Some bedliners and accessories (or maybe just body alignment) can put pressure on the latch, making it seem locked when it’s not.

Yes, tried it. Thought it might have been the sprayed in bed liner.
