I got my tie down from Lane and installed it this weekend with my tailgate strut, I am very happy with the build quality and look, it works as advertised too! Thanks again man!

Just let me know the listing number..thank you sir.Like many here, I added a tailgate strut and then the tailgate won't close with the stock tiedown bracket in place. So I made one out of scrap metal I had in a bin and posted it in my build thread here, and others asked if I'd be interested in making a few more. I have a few of these available.
The steel is thicker than it needs to be, 1/8". Cut, bent, drilled & chamfered, corners radiused, welded, sanded, powdercoated, and shipped to your door for $20 each. Add $5 for a flat shipping cost and that covers anything else that you may want to purchase at the same time as well (see my signature for the other items I make & offer).
Because I make these one at a time by hand, my welding may not look as perfect as one that comes out of a factory in China. But it is well-built and solid and it works like it should, and of course, it's made in the USA.
PayPal is strongly preferred, but if you don't have PayPal and need me to list one for purchase on eBay, I can do that as well. If you have an interest, please send me a private message (don't post to this thread). The amount is limited. Be aware that I'm not a fabricator. I make things because I enjoy making things. And because some accessories just cost too much, and they shouldn't.

Update: Continuing to make the brackets when I need some relaxing time in my workshop. More are available.
Forum member @MakinDoForNow shared a photo that's the best illustration to date that I've seen, which shows the value of having the two tailgate mounted tie-down points available.
If you install the tailgate damper strut, don't lose a tie-down point!

I had the tailgate strut for like 2 years. I was reluctant to install as you cannot have to many tiedowns. This one from Lane solved that issue. Works great and looks good too. While the tailgate strut isn't what I consider a must have. It sure is nice. Especially when the wife opens the tailgate.
Got mine installed today. Only "issue" I noticed is that the drop in bed liner piece kind of covers the bracket to an extent, you have to push down on it to get a hook through there. But obviously not a big deal. Much better than not having it, and the tailgate assist is nice too...

I noticed the same thing with the factory Ford drop in liner. But not a big issue.
