I bought this tailgate bike pad to haul my families bikes in the Maverick.

The small 52" size fits the Maverick perfect. There's a flap that makes it possible to use the backup camera. It's good quality for the price. I recommend it.

Do you think this tailgate pad will fit 4 bikes across? Any concerns of damage to your truck over time with the wheels touching the lip of the tailgate?

Yes it will fit 4 bikes across. My bike's wheel doesn't touch the tailgate. It does touch the bumper at the bottom and the tail light on the side however. I'm not hauling my bike that much, so I don't know how much wear or damage could be done wherever the bike touches the truck. Damage could be caused hauling a bike once. YMMV.

I took my MTB out on the trail yesterday. The tailgate pad worked great.

So I bought this and it arrived yesterday. Loaded up the bike number three and the hook/loop strap pulled right off and the stitches broke. Needless to say it is going back.

Might have been just a one off issue as reviews look good.
