Have Lariat Oxford White scheduled for first week in April. Black Matte or Gloss? Which one do you think will look best? Reflective?
I went with Matte Black, since the bumper and the trim around the top of the bed (and back window) is all Matte. I picked reflective cuz I figured wouldn't hurt for a little brightness if someone pulled up behind in the dark (and it looks kinda cool, too)

I think the maverick letters are a great mod because they are low cost and high visual impact.

I bough these off eBay https://www.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderDetails?itemId=386670012808&transactionId=1499091276025&mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11400.m144671.l152967&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=52a203fb7a0840a5a26aa1fc84fb1bcc&bu=45480822638&exe=0&ext=0&osub=-1~1&crd=20240224173310&segname=11400 1/3 cost of Tuff Skinz. Just put them on today. Pics below. They are more 3D than I was expecting but I think they look good. Tried to take one pic from a sharp angle so you can see how much they’re raised.

I can't get your link to work, but those look like mine. I like the 3-D look. I just hope the tape holds up because it's not the 3m red kind that works so well.

Here's a link to the seller I used. I paid ~$21.99.

Bummer my link doesn’t work. Sorry about that. But I have run my truck through automatic car wash a couple of times since installing and the letters are still nice and stuck on there.

My tailgate letters journey took a somewhat winding road.

I decided on matte black letters to coordinate with the black plastic components on my Azure Gray ‘24 Maverick.

I first ordered a set of those 3D raised type letters in black. When I got them I thought they stuck out too much and the horizontal strokes of the “E” and “C” seemed very narrow and susceptible to damage. The adhesive backing also didn’t seem of very good quality. I sent them back.

I then decided to go with the letters in matte black that fordaccessories.com offers (made by TufSkinz for Ford) using some of my Ford Points. These were flat but had some thickness to them and have eased edges which I thought would look good. The letters had more of a satin finish than matte (I.e. flat finish) and matched well with the black plastics. The letters were looking great, but when I finished I noticed that there was a defect in the finish of the “C”. Since this was a Ford licensed part manufactured by a vendor, I was required to submit a warranty claim directly to TufSkinz. I received a free set of replacement letters from TufSkinz in a few days.

When I removed the defective “C” and replaced it with the one from the new set of letters I could see a significant difference in the sheen as the replacement was very matte compared to the previous letters I had installed. I ended up removing and replacing all the original letters with the replacements.

In the end I preferred the look of the letters I first got from fordaccessories.com that had a slightly more glossy finish to them than the fully matte finish ones that I got from TufSkinz. The TufSkinz letters seem to be of high quality and have good adhesive backing. I would order these again.

Hey, that's the file I made for my gf's cricut! Here are some sizing tips from the reddit post I made for it:

Basically, I just found the best picture online of the tailgate letters on a sheet, and then use Adobe Capture to turn that into an SVG. Because the picture that I used had the vinyl sheet slightly bowed, the letters are not perfect, but they are good enough that unless someone gets very very close you’re not really gonna notice.

To cut these out of the vinyl, you’ll want to import the SVG into cricket design, space, and then set the width to 5.7 inches and that will basically get you right in the ballpark of the size you need. I had set mine to 5.75 inches and on the E and C they were just barely too wide. Again, not enough to notice but I think 5.7 will be perfect. You may also noticed that there are some extraneous shapes on the sheet, those can be removed in Design Space if you wish. I cut out everything just cause I wasn’t positive what should and should not be used, considering I found this off of a picture of what someone actually sells on eBay.

canm I get a copy sent to me [email protected]
Just FYI - since that's not his username on the forum - it won't actually notify him like a call out.

Must do @Outforawalk as a shout out for example.

You can directly email, since that is an email address.
If still valid, since those things change.
