My Maverick came in over the weekend and I installed the black lettering kit from Ford accessories. Here's a before and after shot on carbonized gray. Very easy to install they line up perfectly.

Thanks. Just what I was looking for. Any special tips for application? Thanks.
Just cleaned the stamped area and used an alcohol wipe. Says to make sure it's at least 60 outside. Other than that it was really easy and straight forward.

Looks great! I have the same ones, along with several other accessories - just waiting for my truck to put them on.

I was just wondering where I can get some. I’m thinking the black would look great on the Area 51. Thanks for the pics!

For those not inclined to pay $79-99 for the official Ford letters, there are lots of cheaper options available in various colors and patterns from such places as Etsy, Amazon and eBay.

I've got one for you clean tailgate letting with an alcohol wipe mix up a watered down dish soap spray, squirter each letter as you go (this allows you to move the letters around as needed) Use a microfiber cloth to carefully push out any water move on to the next letter and so on till all letting is done😉

Upon application, can you move the Ford ones around like you can the softer ones folks are purchasing on Ebay and Etsy? Thanks.

No there's not much moving you can do. However these kits pretty much fit perfect so you won't really be off when you apply it. Some are buying a vinyl like sticker and those are good to wet so you can slide them in place. These are thick so its easy to apply rather then a thin sticker.

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to confirm. Hope to get our Maverick this week.
