Yes there are cheaper options, which I'm glad everyone has that choice. I don't know if the knock offs come with any warranty, but the bonus to the official Ford product is they are fully warranted. I'd have to look at the paper but I think it's 3 years 30,000 miles, so if anything would happen...
No there's not much moving you can do. However these kits pretty much fit perfect so you won't really be off when you apply it. Some are buying a vinyl like sticker and those are good to wet so you can slide them in place. These are thick so its easy to apply rather then a thin sticker.
Yes. Theres two different discount codes out there. One was 20% off I think and then I'm sure theres a 10-15% off. I was able to apply a discount when I got the lettering kit and tonneau cover.
Just cleaned the stamped area and used an alcohol wipe. Says to make sure it's at least 60 outside. Other than that it was really easy and straight forward.
My Maverick came in over the weekend and I installed the black lettering kit from Ford accessories. Here's a before and after shot on carbonized gray. Very easy to install they line up perfectly.
Yeah if it's a specific build for you you're protected for the price your build sheet showed. I just picked up my maverick today. I ordered in june and the lux package increased since then. But I did not need to pay that invoice total the dealer had. I paid my build sheet price.
I just got my Maverick today and I was xplan and the price protection. I ordered in June and the Lux package went up like $200-300 by the time it was built. The dealers invoice was a couple hundred higher then my build sheet and they had some price protection sheet that showed the difference...
The title had me intrigued, I loved the old Dodge Dakotas. Looking at the concept, I was disappointed with the look. Maybe I'm on an island here, but I don't get all these concepts and the real life example of the Sante Cruz, making these trucks that look like SUVs with a bed. I want a truck...
Does anyone know once you get the "congrats your truck is built and shipped email" if there is any chance it still needs a chip? I was curious if once it hit that status if it was actually completely shipped. I'm curious if that's why Ford changed the tracking site. If so that makes sense, can't...
Same for me. Glad to see this post. Mine had a delivery date of 3/14. I was given a window of 3/7 - 3/14 from the dealer. When I got on now and saw it was gone I was like uh oh, that's either really good (it arrived) or really bad (it's delayed).
But perhaps it's just something in the middle...
Agreed! I think the Santa Cruz is ugly, not better styling IMO. The Maverick actually looks like a truck. The Santa Cruz styling is confusing. I kept saying it looks more like a bigger car with a bed, the El Camino reincarnated. It is cool they have better warranty though, if that's true.
Yeah we bought our 2018 Explorer there brand new. When I saw the Maverick come out and knew I was looking for a truck I started to check the Maverick out online and called Whitmoyer once I was ready to order. Some of the dealers in York didn't seem to know much about the Mav or said I couldn't...
