I took my Maverick to the dealership to have the latest Sync 3 update installed after receiving a notice in the mail.
Afterwards, I noticed my cellphone was not linked. Okay, no problem, went to the bluetooth page and re-linked it. Got a curious message that the pairing had failed and no serial number message appeared. The home screen showed it was active and I even took a phone call. But the next time I drove it, the phone wasn't automatically linked. This occurred every time I got in to drive.
I finally found the problem. The Maverick Truck listed in my available bluetooth devices was from the prior Sync 3 software. I had to unpair it on my phone. When it was no longer listed as an available device on my phone, I was able to properly pair with the new Sync 3 software and it is now remembered.
