Swap premium 18" Lariat wheels for 17" black XLT FX4 wheels!

I know my wheels are more expensive by a long shot but I need the 17" OEM wheels to accommodate the tires I am putting on without lifting truck. Current rims and rubber have 400miles. Like to do a trade within a commutable distance from Houston area.

These rims are for somebody that wants a more premium look than off road look plus due to their size will naturally raise truck up a bit.

Of course, but technically a 225/60R18 is taller than a 225/65R17. So this setup would be 28.63" in overall diameter, stock FX4 would be 28.52" overall diameter. So this would lift by half of that difference, which is 0.055", so not even a sixteenth of an inch. I suspect it would be virtually indistinguishable and assumes both tires measure exactly out to the metric spec which I also doubt but going by the numbers at least, OP is correct.

Anyways, best of luck to OP in the search for the trade. I sold these very wheels/tires/tpms off of my Lariat for $1100. Found an eager buyer looking to spruce up their newly acquired XL. It seems most who opted for FX4 did so because of the stunning black 17" wheels. May be hard to find for that reason. Have you considered aftermarket? When I was looking it seemed there were a lot of nice looking, similarly styled black 17" wheels readily available.

So as I said "raise truck up a little bit". The tires have more impact but it is a separate calculation which I did not speak to.

The tires have ALL of the impact, wheels have zero impact on vehicle height.

^^Um...no. Once you get into low profile tires on massive rims the wheels play a big part

Not sure the Lariat wheels are "more expensive by a long shot" . Can you pull up the parts #'s and price them? I'm curious.

Since I got Lariat and FX4 and 4k that might be another way Ford screwed me with the overlap as they give me the FX4 wheels over the Lariat wheels
