I got one from Amazon, fits perfect and heavily made. Can’t remember what it cost but it wasn’t a lot ($30-$35 roughly). Also have tint on the windshield that supposedly blocks 98% of UV.

Guys my truck is arriving next week and I'm in Tampa, FL. My soft top mercedes will be in my garage so the Maverick will be out in the driveway every day. I want to get a good sun shade for the front dash, but am looking for suggestions.

There are many brands and I want one that fits well specifically for Mavericks and will hold up to the Florida sun a while.

I'm looking for suggestions for a great fitting sun shade that will last, can you guys that have one provide some suggestions? (Not sure if the 24 model sizing has changed for the 25 model but my order is for a '25 Lariat.

Thanks
I purchased the one that is similar to an umbrella from Amazon and have been using it in the desert southwest (where the sun destroys everything) for over a year. It cost about ten bucks and closes to the size of a small umbrella, it fits nicely into a small nylon pouch that fits in the console under the power ports. I liked it so much I bought one for my Mach E as well.

I wanted a tight fit sunshade.
Then I realized I really needed a dash cam in this town, so just keep that in mind if you plan on getting a cut to fit one as the camera will be in the way.

I ended up getting this one and it does a pretty decent job in vegas, nothing will keep our car cool here but it will hopefully prevent the interior from dry rotting.

I live in St Pete and just have a folding one from Costco. Has lasted years. Used it in my bmw before Helene flooded that and it fits the Maverick no issues.

I really like the UVS100 from Covercraft and have them in my other cars as well. Yes, expensive for a sunscreen cover and it takes up a little room when folded, but they are well made, a great fit, and keeps the vehicles cool.

Just got my 22Hybrid a couple of weeks ago. I got a fold-up from Costco for $13, good quality but too big, had to cut it down. Then I tried my old spring one from another car, fits perfect, and sits between the console and passenger seat when not in use.

I tried getting a "universal" one at Walmart, only to discover that the Maverick rearview mirror is so low that a regular shade won't fit.

I got a really cheap one at Ollie's. The cutout is no better on it, but because it was so cheap, it's really flimsy, so I can make it fit easily. The downside is that I'm sure it will wear out quickly.

But a sun shade is essential in Florida.

My 2024 Lariat's B&O has speakers up there, Middle and both ends. Why do I see no holes ?

I just bought a windshield shade on Amazon from KUST. Recommended by another Forum member. Amazon's Choice! This has worked for me before this choice thing.

I completely agree. I have been using the Ford Maverick sunshade for three years now and it is excellent. I would not mess with any other opportunity.
I just bought the one from Ford. I’ve never had a sunscreen fit this well. Buy the Ford sunscreen. By the way, the Ford sunscreen is made by Covercraft. If bought through Covercraft it will cost a little more.

Clear ceramic tint the windshield and never fuss with a sunshade ever again. Worth every penny. It keeps you cooler while driving too.

I've had sunshades before where the silverish material starts flaking off after awhile causing a big mess when folding and unfolding. Does the Ford OEM one do that? Does the UV protectant mentioned above help with that?

🤓 The one you get to Ford accessories is great. I’ve had one since January 2022. No problems..

I bought the one that works like an umbrella only it's oblong to cover the windshield. when done, you just close it like you would an umbrella and it has a Velcro wrap tie that compresses it to fit in the carry bag. I've been using mine for well over a year and it has held up good with only a couple of threads breaking which was an easy fix. I really like that it gets small enough to fit in the console.
