They are 15" X 11" by 8" H. It looks like you could get a little longer box in there but there are rounded higher corners down there so if you aren't doing fiberglass & are doing wood this is the biggest you could go to get the bottom to lay in the flat bottom of the body.

They look nice, but with those dimensions, that's not .625 ft3. Closer to .5 ft3 depending on the wood used (unless that's fiberglass?). Still nicely done 👍.

Well it's supposed to be .625 net (according to JL Audio)but mine is a little larger (see calc link below) & then you subtract for speaker displacement & wood thickness. https://www.thecalculatorsite.com/misc/cubic-feet-calculator.php
Not sure why you're talking about your system in this thread instead of opening your own, but...

Your box almost certainly is not quite as large as you hoped and/or the installer promised.

This box calculator is much better.

It's at most 0.57 ft3 if 1/2" mdf was used. If it is 3/4" then it's more like 0.48 ft3 gross, before subtracting for the woofer's displacement.

Complete install of 8 inch subwoofer in custom made box. Box was made from 3/4 inch mdf that was shaped to optimize the space in one of the under seat storage sections. It was easy to run the power from the battery through the firewall and hide it under the trim. The signal was tapped from the acm which is located under the climate control panel. The remote turn on was taken off the fuse number 6. I used positaps on the front speaker wires so no wiring was cut in the harness and can be easily removed. The sound is great for very little cost. I already had the pioneer amp and bought the subwoofer for $50 on Amazon.

I originally had my Rockville Sub installed on the B&O Sub brackets, but after seeing your install again the other day, I removed it. Then re-intstalled it under the back seat on the right side. Sounds way better there and fills the cabin.

Thanks for your posts.

11 wide? how did you fit 11 wide, the small end f the cubby is 8 3/4 on the bottom and the larger area towards middle is 9 3/4 at bottom, both taper wider towards top?? I built box for a 8 due to the size constraint..

Yes I just measured again. It is definitely 15" X 11" W X 8.5" H. I think your measuring with the plastic tub still inside. We took out the tub & cut the plastic & put trim pieces back in. That way there is a little more space with less taper.

Do you think if you don't use the plastic tub at all & could get a couple inches longer & a couple higher without the cover they made for me, let's say 19" X 11" X 10.5"H you could get enough space to run an 8" or 6.5" sub with a vented box?
