Just a tad curious, I an old unibody hot rodder. Played with plenty of Mustangs, Camero’s, STI’s, etc. and something that we used to do is weld/bolt in subframe connectors to enhance performance in one way or another. So, this raises a question for me wether or not there is something in the works aftermarket wise in this vain?
I think I can see a few advantages using these methods, but I’m no engineer.

I feel there is going to a ridiculous amount of aftermarket options for these trucks. Because of affordability there is going to be so many of these trucks on the road and the aftermarket companies will be all over it..

I’ve had a similar thought. In the Miata world, Flyin Miata makes their “butterfly brace” which is a bolt on reinforcement brace that attached to the bottom of the car and stiffened it up. Something like that could possibly add a bit of strength to the unibody chassis.

I think the maverick would be better just getting a fwd 2.0 and putting another 2.0 in the bed. Its all drive by wire right? Done!
