Stuck in Neutral Tow mode

2024 hybrid front wheel drive- Has there been any suggested fix from Ford Motors to address the Neutral Tow mode lock up? I disconnect the battery neg. And it helps but but looking for easier solution. This has happened three times for me!

When engaging and disengaging neutral tow you must follow the steps exactly as they are written in the manual. I had all kinds of issues with disengaging neutral tow mode, following the steps in the manual has eliminated all issues. I printed out the procedure and have it laminated and keep it in the console. Multiple trips towing the Mav this past summer with no problems.

Does disconnecting the black wire help? I’ve tried going through the disengage procedures and it keeps telling me Neutral Tow is engaged.

Yes, it's the only user/owner method I know to clear the problem. Mine happened several times and I ended up going back to dealership where there is a Ford SSM or TSB on the issue.

I keep a 10 mm box/open end wrench in the glove box for the now rare occasions when the Mav's little brain freezes up. Remove the battery negative cable for a few seconds and it resets the the Mav's computers. I have towed my Mav for a bit over 26 K miles and I think in the last year I can only remember 1 neutral tow incident. It seems to only occur in situations where I am stopping for a night and leaving the truck hooked up. Getting it ready to tow the next day is when it gets confused. Still a bit of a mystery since I run the truck for several minutes and run it through R to D and back to P then turn off. The next morning it will display "Neutral Tow Enabled" even though gear selector and dash indicator are in P and the truck will change gears, but it will not properly engage neutral tow. At that point it's off with the battery cable and move on.
