My maverick arrived at ramp RA4G in Wayne, Michigan on Jan. 24 and has not moved since. It’s currently waiting for transportation to my dealership in northeast ohio.

My ETA has been continually getting pushed back every few days, and it’s currently projected to arrive at my dealer next week (if the ETA actually sticks this time). Ford customer service is unable to share any details about the cause of the delay. Does anybody else have any experience with getting hung up at this location? I’m getting concerned that there could be some issue with my shipment.

I got hung up at RU2G and so did my father's Maverick, both for almost two weeks. There's no rhyme or reason to it, there's just a labor shortage and I think professions like trucking which require special licenses are even harder hit than most others.

Depends on whether the railcar is unloaded. The railcar may just be sitting, waiting on weather, an empty lot for the vehicles, or other reasons. Once unloaded, the Maverick will be on a spot at the ramp waiting for the truck to haul it to the delivering dealer. That can take more time than it used to, and weather up there IS a factor in loading these. There is a way to contact Ford and go deep into the system and actually see the information in the system at the ramp. They will know exactly where it is and any status updates. But I guarantee your dealer won't want to spend the time to do it or may never have actually tried. Complicated.

I was in touch with another member of this forum who actually arrived at that ramp in the exact same rail car as me. We were messaging each other while tracking the rail car during its journey across the US. His maverick already arrived at his dealer early last week, so I'm assuming that means our rail car was unloaded. My maverick must just be sitting there waiting for a truck.

They will often wait on a full truckload going in that direction. I know the feeling of waiting, but you are at least lucky to have one close to being in your driveway!

Damn, that sucks. How long ago did that happen to you? Did your dealer have to intervene to get it moving again, or did you just patiently wait until it arrived at your dealer?

Your Dealer should be able to arrange pickup of that Maverick. They won't let YOU do it, but they can contact the yard and ask if they can send an employee over there to get it. Won't hurt to ask.

That’s incredibly frustrating. Has your ETA been getting pushed out every week? That’s the most frustrating part to me. The first few times that they gave me an ETA I took it as gospel and made plans to pick up my truck, but I have since learned that the ETAs seem to be useless.

your dealer has the info on it now. Go visit your salesman and ask him to pull up his Vehicle Visibility report and see status based on your VIN. If it says "accepted by..." it has been offloaded from rail car and in the yard waiting for something. If it says "in transit" it means it's loaded on the car carrier transport and on its way (usually multiple stops with a full carrier truck).

Any news on your maverick? My dealer called me last week and said that it would be arriving by the 16th. However, my ETA just got pushed back by another week.
