I’ve had my Maverick since mid June and finally made some room enough to throw it on the lift. I wanted to swap out the oil and see if I could stop a few rattles that I would hear from the back especially make a left turn or the truck lean to the right around a left bend. Even the wife noticed it.
I thought it was my bed extender so I pulled that. No change. So on the lift I finally think I nailed the issue. Several wiring bulkhead connections are wiggling and moving under those conditions and hitting the body. They tend to move quite a bit and made the same quiet “thunk” that I heard.
I took some foam tailgate seal I had left over and placed it around these to stop them from moving. So far so good. Not sure if this is an issue that anyone else has, but it was just annoying enough.
