Of the tires being mentioned, where are the Falkan Wildpeaks in the mix? As compared to the Michelins?
If I didn't mind switching tires each season I think I'd get some Bridgestone Blizzaks. My wife has them on her little Kia Soul and they are fantastic in the snow.

Nice pics. I'm glad to hear that the FWD is good in those conditions. I have already posted a few comments praising the factory Continentals on my AWD. I was set to replace them with Michelin Cross Climate 2. But I'm glad I didn't spend the money on them, as the stock tires are great in the snow, slush, ice. The area where they showed some weakness was on a tight clover leaf on ramp. I push it hard going into those curves to be at pace with merging traffic. The tires did not feel very sticky in this situation. I attribute some of that to the fact that they are only 225mm wide and there's also some sacrifice with tires that perform well in other areas.
Interesting, because I had the identical Continentals on my previous vehicle and hated them (Subaru AWD Impreza). I installed the Michelin CC2s on my Maverick and love them.

That does not surprise me at all. I'm trying to get my tires worn down as fast as I can so I can justify getting the Michelins.🤪 Have you observed a decrease in gas mileage? That was the only Knock on them on Consumer Reports. Also I'd like to see a pic of how they look on your truck if possible.
I experienced no decrease in mpg. I put about 1200 miles on the Continentals before I switched. The CC2s are my summer tires, I got Blizzaks for the winter.

Did you have the Continentals on long enough to see if there was an MPG difference between the two? I plan on getting CC2s as well.

About 1200 miles on the Continentals and I saw no lower mileage with the CC2s. Averaged between 39-42 with 50%-50% local-highway. Far superior tire under all conditions in my opinion.

Impossible to tell with hybrids losing mpg in the winter anyway. I'm averaging about 33 mpg compared to 40 plus in the summer. We went on a 1k road trip over the holidays that was pure windy highway, snow/ice messing around, and idling. Got 30 mpg which I though was pretty decent considering the temps never got over 20 and several days below 0 with -30 windchills. Over the summer that same highway trip was 34 mpg. Take that as you will. If there's any rolling resistance it's certainly no more than 1 or 2 mpg which is totally worth it for how they perform imo.

The OEM Falkans are an all terrain tire, and while they are decent in the winter, they won't perform like a true winter tire, such as the Blizzak. Of course, in my case, the AWD will mask some of the winter shortcomings, but certainly a solid, all season, all terrain tire.

So for the best all-round, all-season tire with decent snow performance which? The Falkan Wildpeak or the Michelin CC2?

Maybe neither. If you rarely venture off pavement, the AT tire is really of no benefit, and will cost you a fraction of FE and some additional noise. Directional tires like the CC2 are more difficult and expensive to rotate properly.

You might look into something like the Michelin LTX instead.
