Hi guys/gals, wondering if anybody has had this issue, I could not find anything similar in the threads. 2023 hybrid XLT lux, received in Aug 2023.
I have a steering knocking/clicking sound directly from the horn or shaft area inside the car. It started happening in Nov 2023 as the cooler morning temperatures started. It happens on a daily basis but seems to go away as the car is driven/warms up.
Intermittent it seems.
I had the car at the dealer today for an oil change and two recalls (23c41,23p18).
Of course the dealer couldn't replicate and neither could I in their parking lot. The noise happens typically in the morning or when the car has been sitting. Happens in slow speed parking manoeuvres as well as backing up or with car stationary and turning the wheel.
I ruled out, keys dangling, floor mat touching steering shaft bolts and my jacket. Noise is not coming from under the car or suspension .Clock spring noise?
Turn up volume.
Any ideas?
