Spoke to a lovely lady this morning regarding the hold up with my truck.

Backstory is truck was ordered 6/19 XLT AWD 2.0 with Lux Package Tonnaeu Soft Cover Manual sliding window co pilot 360 and full size spare. Blend date of 11/29. In production date of 12/7. Eta of 1/12.

Woman I spoke to said I have an estimated delivery of 1/6-1/12 still but it’s been on hold for a chip like others have said.

So pretty much no new information :(

Unfortunately the last time there was a chip shortage at Hermosillo it was with the Bronco Sports and took Four Months to resolve.

If that’s the case looks like I’ll be moving on from Maverick and possibly Ford altogether.

Hopefully they will be able to resolve the issue over the holiday weeks since they haven't done a lot of scheduling for anything until January. Gives them a chance to use the chips that they do have to fix the ones that were built without them.

What is an approximation from the time it goes from "In production" to "built"?
My Maverick went "in production" 12/14.
It says I can look at the window sticker too, but that's a lost cause as well - I get the 404.pdf.

Even though it went "In Production" on 12/14 you won't get a window sticker until the week before or a few days before, it is actually scheduled at the factory to be built. Mine was scheduled the week of 11/29 and I got my windows sticker on 11/26 and was built on 12/03 and has been sitting in the Mexican desert parking lot ever since.

This is frustrating as others continue to get their vehicles. Over 6 months now. If it’s not delivered by the date it says or no more updates I’m going to have to move on.

Going to go online tonight and watch Tim Bartz and see if he has any insight as to what may be going on. I realize he is only a dealership rep, but at least he provides some information whereas other - like Ford - don't. My only issue is that he was dead wrong in the amount of time that it was going to take Ford to recover from the chip shortage. They might have kept the assembly line running, but that doesn't do anything for all of the vehicles that they built and are now waiting on those chips.

Auto industry is still struggling. JP Morgan is estimating mid next year for a level out. Personally I think 2022 will look like 2021. Low inventory and prices going up.
