Ordered a XLT hybrid with luxury package on 9/16 before Noon. The system was down on 9/15 and my dealer didn't get any orders in until 9/16.
Confirm e-mail on 9/17.

Ordered from the #2 dealer in a large metro area - same dealer my Father ordered cars from in the 60's/70's/80's.

Ordered using Ford A-plan as my niece is an engineer at one of the Ford truck plants. I'm the fourth A-plan order from her family in the last 18 months from this dealer.

Not sure if A-plan makes it more likely or less likely my Maverick will be built.

I'm assuming no delivery until September 2023. I so confident of the long wait that I put the cash to pay for the truck in I-bonds, and won't be cashing any of those bonds out until late August 2023.

XL Hybrid, two constraint options, three options total. I kinda expect to roll over till 2024, and hope that if I do, they give us a deal like the 22 roll overs. I actually might prefer a rollover, by then they may offer hybrid AWD, and Eruption Green

I got that email too on the day I ordered. This was a completely different email.

Note the date 9-24 22, order bank had already been closed. This was UrbanDweller's second email from Ford.

Looks like I forgot to include the "All things being equal disclaimer" - but I should have!
I think that leaves me basically predicting the "FIFO" scenario you mentioned!

One other factor I've seen mentioned here is each dealers' "friends and family" plan!
Had I ordered locally, I might be going up against all the local celebrities here.
Which probably wouldn't be a big deal, except if the ordering dealer runs short on allocations.

I also used the friends and family, as my son works for the entity with multi brands and locations.

Not sure, but i received the exact same email back on the 9/19 from a dealer who I didn't order with because they were slow, then they put the order in anyway after i had already ordered with another dealer on 9/16.

Did your email say: Your order has been Confirmed! or did you get the "preview order" sheet showing the 9-19-22 date?
It appears UrbanDweller got 2 emails on his order! I haven't heard of that before, so his order appears to be progressing.

Could it be called a preview because the 23 order sheet and buld sheet has not been finalized yet? Like a movie preview with the 23 build sheet being the final order. Just a guess.

I got both but the preview arrived prior to the confirmed email.. I wasn't sure what it was because I did not receive a preview order sheet with the other dealer.

Anything is possible. If I recall correctly, the intent was to start building '23s toward the end of October. If that is actually the schedule, they will have to start scheduling them soon.

They are supposed to be buiding 22's until Middle of November. So I don't think any 23's will start until the last week in November. Pretty sure on that.

I ordered an XL Hybrid with zero options on Sept 15th and am estimating the same time frame of March to April but then I am a glass half full kinda guy

it all depends on your dealers alocations? was it a large dealer with alot of prev/sales and did you rec-a priority-10 if you meet these standards then you should get you X L some time in jan or feb even at 15% build rate!

Very likely each email is for a different order! Plus, the preview sheet was sent to you during the open orders period. So I don't see any indication that this is showing a single order.

Can you determine which order/orders these emails pertain to? Ford chat?

The only other reason I can see for receiving a preview order sheet from Ford is that the dealer sent an order change to Ford, color change, etc. But I haven't heard of Ford sending notices for that.
I didn't hear anything from my color change, or when I dropped the useless full size spare tire.

I will have to check with ford chat, but it did come from the [email protected] email. And it did come from the dealership that i spoke with only once and whom apparently submitted an order on my behalf.
