Ok first full disclosure: I've done a full system replacement on every vehicle I've ever owned, starting with my 1968 Barracuda. While I've been gathering gear for the stereo project on my 2024 XLT Tremor, life has been throwing curve balls at me these last few months so I've not been able to start my install yet.

To get to my point, I've noticed a definite Improvement in the stock speaker performance 6 months into ownership. The system is still inadequate for my needs and I will definitely still replace the system, however for those who are on the fence regarding making upgrades I would suggest going through a reasonable break-in period before making any decisions.

I believe I’ve read all the posts about replacing my speakers, watched all the videos I could find. My XLT has the base radio, which I’m very disappointed in. My question is, is it worth the effort and expense to replace front, and rear speakers?

Totally up to you.i think the factory speakers sound just fine in my maverick, someone else might think they sound horrible. Try em for awhile,if you don't like buy some new ones.
I wasn't that happy with my XLT speakers then, I listened to my friend corolla sound system and was like 1000 times better, not kidding mine sounds like mono vs HD radio on the corolla.

I didn't switched mine yet, but it definitely worth it on my opinion.

I replaced the front speakers with a pair of component Focal speakers, a front channel amp and a powered sub. Huge difference! Did nothing to rear speakers as I keep them turn down anyway. I posted the details on forum.

I replaced doors and rear speakers and tweeters. Also added a 5 channel amp and a sub. Huge improvement. With just the speakers replaced I wasn't that happy, but after the amp and sub it really woke up.

I did Fronts only, and added a plug and play kit for the kicker hideaway 10” and it sounds soooooooooo much better.
Do you have a link to the plug and play kit? I’m looking to do the same in adding just the fronts and a hideaway.

I just put a amp and sub in my 2025 maverick xlt. Did kicker 8ga amp wiring to a kicker 500.1 mounted it behind the back seats to the passenger side. Im using my rockford fosgate 12in p2 set to 2ohms and that its self was a big upgrade. I ordered my new kicker 10in that will be here tuesday. Got a driver side sub box off ebay for under the back seat. Been looking st replacing the speakers but for now i think the sub was a big improvement to the audio.
