Anyone put on spacers that aren't 2 inch hub centric as seen by some builds. I have the added fender trim and wouldn't mind 5 to 8mm spacers but just not sure if that leaves enough bolt for the lugs. I .used to German cars where you just buy longer lug bolts. Not sure how to accomplish the same on my maverick

5mm is extremely small, I went with 25mm on the front and 35s on the rear and I think it looks really good. I don’t think you’ll notice much of a difference at all with that small of a spacer especially with fender flares. Just my opinion.

While thin 5mm spacers often work with stock studs, 8mm leaves very little thread. For safety, you must achieve 1.5 times the stud diameter in thread engagement (roughly 7.5 to 8 full turns of the lug nut). Use extended thread (ET) lug nuts and Swap to longer wheel studs

Thank you to you and the others. Makes sense but how did you accomplish adding spacers that size? Did you have to get longer studs? I ask because as handy as I am at DYI, removing disc's a d replacing studs not in my wheel house. I know the 2 inch version ate spacers/adapters with studs. 2 inches are two wide so maybe 1.5 inches would work, if I can find those at a reasonable price.

I bought some hub centric spacers that are made with new studs on them. Same thread pattern as the lugs I have so they just bolted right on. 25mm is as small as I could get without having to alter the stock studs. It also depends on what kind of wheel you have, the only wheel it’ll work on is the ones with the small pockets on the back side.

If you go with small spacers you’ll have to cut or replace the stock studs with longer ones. I didn’t want to do all that so I just went with the bigger spacers that bolt on.

If you want another option I went with Bonoss. Quality spacers and very well made. No problems with mine.
