2022 Hybrid Maverick with about 6,000 miles. Someone borrowed the truck and told me it sounded to them like it needed new brakes because of a scratchy metal sound. I hadn't noticed before but next time I drove it I left the radio off and I do hear some sound like my old old truck made when the front hubs needed replacement. Little bit of metal on metal sound and more of it when turning.

Has anyone ha similar? It may just be that the truck is so quiet in general that what I am hearing is normal rolling noise.

My other truck is a 20 year old 3/4 ton diesel so there is generally plenty of engine noise to cover up any other sound. :)

not the bearing hubs you're used to but maybe a cv joint issue

Any metal on metal sound needs to be checked into immediately. I have seen where someone had a bad wheel bearing, and of course there's the "common" CV joint issues with these trucks.

Good morning! Could you please send over a message with your VIN and the name/location of your local Ford dealer? I would like to take a closer look at your noise concerns.

Dropped the truck off this morning at the dealer. One rear wheel bearing definitely toast. Will check the other. Front CV perhaps is toast as well. They want to clear the noise coming out of the rear end before moving on to the front. 35k miles eco boost.

Sent my VIN. The sales place doesn't have a service center that I know of. Vehicle is in Germany.
