I ended up canceling to Bak Revolver and ordered the BackFlip, which I have already received from Backflip.com. I decided after thinking about it that I would not very often ever need to have it fully open where it could black my rear window. I like that is closes like a trunk and it's very secure. Not that the Revolver isn't. It's just the Revolver isn't currently available and according to Bak Industries won't be until sometimes in Mid Dec.

I would go with a hard tri-fold tonneau cover. I have the Bakflip MX4 currently on my Tundra and it's a solid cover. Pretty water resistant too. Yeah they can be expensive but it's totally worth it. Buy once, cry once!

When did your order it? I ordered one and its been two months. I got the hard trifold. Maybe I will get in sometime next year not sure why the hold up is. I might cancel it and go with Ford intstead.

I ordered the Revolver 9/28/21. When I called BAK they said it was still in manufacturing it they expected it to be release sometimes in early Dec, but it would be a very limited release initially. Then I seen they had the BakFlip MX4 in stock after someone posted their install. I ordered it on 10/21 and it shipped the next day. So I canceled the Revolver XS4 and received a refund in about 7 days.

Now with all these shipping delays on my truck, I should have just rode it out. If you really want that hard roll up, just wait it out. Though I know I am going to be satisfied with the TriFold BakFlip, I would have preferred the Hard Roll-up.

This Friday will be 2 months since I ordered it from bakflip. I guess I will just wait out for another week or cancel it if it hits December. I’m tired of following up and asking.

I ordered Extang Trifecta Signature 2.0 from Realtruck through Alex. It is a soft cover but has the cloth material similar to to of convertible cars, an is not vinyl. I think it looks very nice. Initially I wanted to go hard trifold but decided to go with this soft version. One of the main reasons I went with this one is that you can remove it entirely in less than a minute, which you can't with the hard version. It cost me with tax and shipping 400 bucks, which is less than half of the cost of the hard version. Somebody already mentioned the security aspect: I am not planning to drive valuable stuff around. Is more to cover e.g. my groceries when I am doing my grocery shopping tour etc. One of the benefits hardly anyone talks about, independent if soft or hard cover: The bed covers improve your gas mileage by around 10% which with current gas prices is a big saving.

I waited for that 3 months and they keep changing the dates. Finally they said February that’s nearly half a year waiting. I just purchased the Ford trifold and it got here in 3 days. Im happy with it I should have done it instead of waiting and waiting

So I am debating the hard vs soft cover as well. My main issue is that the soft covers I have seen on trucks kinda flop/vibrate in the wind a bit as you drive. Do all soft covers do that? If so I'm definitely getting a hard cover. The flopping is just so distracting to me.

I prefer the hard just for the security of it. Had a soft one on my F150 that someone gave me and it was ok, but that sold me on the need for them and keeping the bed dry, especially while living in Washington state.
