You get what you pay for. "Universal" really means "Not designed to exact specs for anything". IMO you're better off finding something that's made specifically for the Maverick, like the Mabett flaps.

Just installed Rokblokz yesterday. Glad I swapped them for the Ford set. They look nicer and feel like a better quality.

I liked Amy's review the most
We didn’t even get down our driveway before rocks shattered both of the rear flaps right after install.
But Don's was on point
I only need a set for the front so I sandwiched two flaps together to achieve some extra durability. They are very thin at .093", that is 35 thousands less than 1/8", obviously avoided to disclose in the description.

Is it $100 saved or $40 wasted?

If you had a sheet of similar material and an ability to cut it cleanly the rokblokz would be easy to diy. I assume savings would be possible.

I've got the Mabett flaps on now. I like the flexibility and fit of them. I guess coverage wise they're second best to the RokBlokz. But, yeah, $150 is pricy for two sheets of plastic.

I have the RokBlokz myself and see them lasting years to warrant the price tag. This is my truck for the next decade so I was okay spending slightly more for quality accessories. Going cheap usually doesn't work out on things you use daily.

Wondering if they are the same size too? If so, saving over 100 bucks on a set seems like it could be worth drilling the holes myself. Then I'd be looking for someone to trace a RokBlokz template to align the holes. Hmmm.
So do these (you have to drill the holes) but the price is right

I was also thinking about using these to block/cover the left rear gap when using the molded mud flaps.

Agreed. I planned on buying RokBlokz, but settled for Mabett. I've been very satisfied with them.

I have them as well. They do seem like they'll last but I have to think they are making an absolute killing in these things. Labor and materials to make them have to be pretty low.

Just installed the Mabett set. Was way easier than I expected. They look great and I know they will help keep some of the salt off the underside of the car once the city goes nuts with the salt. Now time will tell if they stay in place or not.

If you are going to put the time and effort into fitting universal ones, get the real rubber mudflaps.
