  1. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

Just a quick update. It is fixed now. The insurance adjuster said he thinks it is a poor design, and he was surprised how easy it was for a rock to cause such a huge amount of damage based on that poor design. He said he examined all the parts and said the dealership's claim about rock damaged...
  2. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

Maybe someone on here knows how to create a 3d printable file we can all buy and have printed. If it happened to me, it can happen to your hybrid! Anyone know the link to that forum post?
  3. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

2k on labor since they have to remove so many parts they said.
  4. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

You and your rationality. :) I haven't seen any other complaints like that on here, so it must have been just a very unlucky rock strike. Yes, it happened on the highway and I am sure just like you said. Still doesn't make it any easier to swallow....
  5. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

My question is how is this thing not covered by a plastic cover? Don't people drive on gravel? I can't believe it is so exposed and so expensive.
  6. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

The guy on the phone said they think a car in front of her threw up a rock and it went through the radiator. Does that make any sense?
  7. Ford Denying Warranty Due to Road Debris Claim - $2700 repair

Hello All, I don't know if you saw my post yesterday about my 2024 Maverick with 10,000 miles on it having its acceleration stop on the highway. The dealer called me today and said that "performed coolant system pressure test and found coolant leak to be concealed by front bumper cover. removed...
  8. 2024 Maverick Hybrid - Acceleration Loss on Highway

It could be that, except total acceleration loss often.
  9. 2024 Maverick Hybrid - Acceleration Loss on Highway

Sounds like what happened to my wife, except on the highway.
  10. 2024 Maverick Hybrid - Acceleration Loss on Highway

I'm not sure what that is. I can ask her. The acceleration stopped working every 5 minutes she said. I can ask her more details.
  11. 2024 Maverick Hybrid - Acceleration Loss on Highway

Thanks for the comment. I'm sorry my initial story was unclear. I edited it a bit now. The power didn't shut off, but she had no acceleration. Still not a great problem with only 10k miles on it. And having that on the highway isn't safe.
  12. 2024 Maverick Hybrid - Acceleration Loss on Highway

Before I bought my hybrid Maverick, I remember stories about people losing power on the highway at high speeds. This finally happened to my wife yesterday at 10,000 miles. On the highway, her accelerator stopped working, so she had to coast to a stop. She had to get my son to a game so she shut...

  15. Where's My Georgia Fam?

I ordered from Mike Jones Ford in Eastanollee. They have been great to work with. No deposit, no add ons, and responsive. I obviously haven't gone through the whole process yet, but seem like a great, honest group there.
  16. Long McArthur 794 MY23 Orders from Episode 58 & 59 Live Stream, 132 XL, 449 XLT, 213 Lariat with 68.6% of them Hybrids !!!

He said that he expected Ford to increase production because they had said they would. So that's why he was comfortable taking more orders than he sold last year. He's expecting an increased production and therefore an increased allotment.
  17. Should XL order add "Bed Tie Down Locking Rails (61D)"?

@dbmurray Thanks for that! I was thinking along the same lines. I also am worried it will be a pain to take off if I want to add a bed liner of some sort. I would prefer to get a drop-in liner and rails installed from factory, but given the demand, I hesitate to add those.
