Ordered my Hot Pepper Red Maverick back on July 17th and obsessively read this site and then tracked the build from the day (9/14) I was notified it was scheduled to be built. Yesterday after knowing the Maverick had been at the depot yard ~ 30 miles away for a week I asked my dealer if they knew when it would reach them. They replied that it would be sometime next week. A little heart broken, but hey I've waited six months and originally I was expecting a longer wait.
But then! a few hours later the general manager called and said that the Maverick had rolled off the carrier and wanted to know when I wanted to schedule a time to pick it up!
I still need to finalize financing from my CU, but I went down after work to sneak a peak at her!
She still needs a bath and final prep, but she is looking beautiful to me!
The one thing that I learned is that the tracker may not show what is going on, any time there is some change that means something was being done from status going backwards to just the update date changing (and nothing else). The last was the dealer's name and address were dropped off of the tracker on the 23rd. This is what prompted me to ask the dealer about the delivery. So while they couldn't even tell of the change, my guess is that was when the truck was moved to "loading zone" at the yard to be brough in the next day.
Of course this is just speculation and I am curious if any of you have seen similar occurrences.
