I’m a proud Maverick Tremor owner. So was my father-in-law until he sold it for a new Bronco. See some info below:

My name is Tim Hallman. I left a negative review on Platinum Ford in Terrell, TX that was on behalf of my father-in-law that purchased a 2023 Ford Bronco from there. They screwed in the back door table too far where the screwed bulged out of the back of the door. Because of the negative review, the GM of the dealership (Adam Vincze) told my father-in-law that he cannot have his vehicle serviced there nor purchase another vehicle from there indefinitely because of the review. My father-in-law will post his own review about his experience. Adam Vincze said that he will speak to his attorney about my negative review about his dealership.

I am not a fan of any shady dealers. I welcome all to “review-flaming” and leave a Google review about their shadiness. Just be forewarned, if you leave a negative review about the dealership, the GM will ban you from utilizing his dealership for any service or purchase. This is his way of punishing the negative reviewers. More details below the hyperlin

More details that I posted on the Bronco forum:

Bronco was traded back into the same dealership for a new F-150 Tremor because the dealership could not guarantee that the repair would not end up on the Carfax. I mean, the Bronco was owned for less than 3 weeks. The trade-in value was $5,000 less than what the Bronco was purchased for. Pretty crappy how the dealership treats its customers.

I initially went with my father-in-law into the dealership a day before he traded in the Bronco because I like hanging out with when I can, and because I like looking at vehicles. The pre-owned manager literally yelled at me for leaving a negative review about the damage to the Bronco.

A few days after the trade-in, the GM told my father-in-law that because there’s a negative review about how the dealership damaged the Bronco and because the mentioning of how the Bronco was purchased with ADM over MSRP and the trade-in didn’t even come close to help recoup the funds lost ($5,000) that my father-in-law is “indefinitely banned” from having service there or to buy/sell a vehicle there. My father-in-law tested the waters by scheduling service on the new Tremor because when he remote starts the truck, it shakes and displays an error on the dash. On service day, he drove up there to see the service advisor that he normally sees with his previous Fords that he has owned throughout the years and for his wife’s Bronco. While talking to the service advisor, the GM came out and asked my father-in-law’s name and said that he was already addressed that he could not use the dealership in any capacity.

So that’s why I asked the Bronco forum to post a review about how they would not support a shady dealership. I ask because others may feel loyal to other Bronco owners and they would not tolerate actions as such as these.

wonder how Ford will respond to a franchised dealership refusing to service costumers they are required by Ford to service. Sound like the start of the story.

That’s what my father-in-law and I were talking about. He said that when he mentioned to the GM about how they should be providing a service, the GM responded that he is entitled to deny service to anyone for any reason regardless if vehicles were bought from that dealership.

My father-in-law and I both bought Mavericks from @fordvideoguy and his dealership in Salina, KS. They definitely know how to take care of their customers. If Tim Bartz was local to my area, we would continue buying from them. And when we bought our Mavericks from his dealership, we left great reviews because they treated us right.

Ohh I am sure the answer from the dealership will be "We aren't refusing to service their vehicle, we just don't have any open availability in the next 6 months. Booked solid with loyal customers!"

Well that's the GM's opinion, I'd be more interested in Ford's. Maybe he's right IDK for sure.

Every automaker has a customer advocacy line in their owner’s manual or that you can find online. Give it a try. Be prepared to start at the beginning. Explain your case and why you feel that you deserve to be helped. Try not to make the issue one of “right vs. wrong.” Ask if the manufacturer will help you out.

There may be help available from local gov consumer protection give it a try.

Wow, didn’t know this existed! Thanks. On the form, it mentions a salesperson’s name. What my father-in-law only dealt with the pre-owned manager and GM? Do you just want me to leave it blank?

It's okay to leave it blank. I think I would in this case since you are leaving a warning about the dealership. Singling out an individual won't matter much.

By the way, I know this list of dealerships is working since I am starting to receive requests (and threats) to remove dealership warnings.

Honestly, given the GM's current attitude, would you really TRUST them performing ANY type of service on your vehicles? Just sayin'
100% agree. He wasn’t actually going to have them service the truck, he just wanted to see if the GM was bluffing about being assisted in the future. When the GM came out and put his hand in the service advisor’s shoulder saying that he was serious about not assisting my father-in-law, that’s when my father-in-law knew.

Good point. In my case, the service and sales departments are separate enough that I trust all of my Fords to an amazing service advisor despite the fact I won't buy from this dealership again.

Isn’t it crazy that dealerships are threatening? That’s why I emailed the GM my work info for sending all legal matters to. I just wonder if he would actually have the kahunas to seek any legal action at my work since I work for the US Attorneys Office / Department of Justice.

I don't understand why he would trade in a Bronco 3 weeks after buying it and paying a $5k mark up
