So, is it confirmed that the deflectors are stick on, and not the type that go in the window channels?

So the gas strut does not interfere with the cables or the angled position of the tailgate, and all I have to give up is one tie down and $50? To eliminate the undamped tailgate? Sounds worth it to me. Seems like if you really needed it you could keep that tie down/bolt and a ratchet in the storage cubby for the times when you might need it.
You don't have to give up a tie down (see previous post) and as for $50, you don't have to give that up either!

Thank goodness for the outside temperature Gauge Silly as it seems that would be a deal breaker for me. I can't drive on snowy roads without knowing if it's freezing or not. Really important

Their prices are always less, by as much as 30%. Just for future reference!

I bought a set from Ford parts rather than get them installed from the factory and they are the stick on type and not the ones that go in the window channel.

Thanks for the pics, there, boss. Would you be willing to take one more photo at an angle that shows the gap between the cab and the underseat box when the back seat is folded down? I'd like to see what kind of a gap is in there. Big enough to stash a soft-cased pistol?
I've highlighted what I mean below:

i just put the assist on mine today and it definitely doesn’t interfere with the cable position at all. You have to take the tie down off bc it hits the strut as you close and it won’t close fully. You could replace it with a D ring or other style that doesn’t wrap down the side and it would likely be fine
Did you buy the factory Ford assists? Can you post a few pics? Thanks
