Easy fix as an software update? I really don't want to get into the waiting for parts at the shop for weeks like others are reporting.

That's what I am thinking since its not triggering any overheating lights on anything else. Definitely not colder days for me though, Florida and high of 85. The light hasn't been on today the couple short trips I have taken.
No. Easy fix as in they replace some module somewhere.

I'd rather wait weeks than not have it solved at all. But I've never had to wait very long at all for any recall or TSB work. They can usually schedule you well enough in advance to work with your schedule. Suck, I know, but get it done and retain that peace of mind. Couple hours waiting at the dealer is the most I've ever done.

Both chambers are within acceptable level and the one closer to the firewall is the less hot one for the electrical system. Thank you for the idea
If you have already verified that the coolant level is correct the next step in the service manual is to verify the pump is working. This is the procedure to verify that it is.

After this the next step is to verify the electrical connectors.....not sure how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.

I am always down for a rabbit hole. I have the USB scanner and Forscan with a license. My two current problems with that is we have crazy thunderstorms going right now with 80 mph winds and I dont have a laptop to run forscan so I literally have to move my whole desktop and run an extension cord lol. Your screenshot tell how to diagnose though, where did you get that?

I've been around the forum for a couple of years now and along time ago right when Mavs were starting to be delivered in the fall of '21 someone posted a link to a service manual.

It's a massive pdf over 600mb in size and contains over 13,000 pages of info about the Maverick and it's repair/diagnose procedures. It is very technical though and at times hard to understand. I'm a technically mined person and even I get confused by reading it.

If you're interested I can DM you a link to my onedrive account were you can dl a copy of it if you want. Just let me know.

I would like that. Definitely not for a sunday night read but I appreciate having technical information on my vehicles. I have some plans that could help with. I don't have a onedrive though, do I need that to access it?

2023 Hybrid Mav with 8500 miles. The service light showed up with no notifications on the ford app, dealership said probably oil change due to miles. It disappeared before I could get it scanned. Then came back later the same day and had the ford app notification this time. When I got it scanned, came up with that code. Dealership is now closed so I can't get any information from them. Seems like a big problem because it has to do with battery cooling but there's no other lights or warnings. No effects to driving abilities. Do I stop driving it till I can get it serviced or let it slide being that it goes off and on?

Hi there, Adam. This service light concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Maverick. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end.

It hasn't been back on and no other signs of anything wrong in the driving that I have done since. I ordered a bluetooth obd2 reader and am going to see if I can monitor the battery temp through that to see if there are any abnormalities. If it doesn't come back on or if I don't see any abormalities, I may chalk it up to a computer hiccup.

Also the ford account asked for the vehicle information so I sent that to them and will update with what they say.

Update: I have an OBD2 reader hooked up and have been driving a bit today. Battery temperature is staying at 104-105 degrees. Light hasn't returned. Ford rep only showed the under hood fire recall on my vehicle which I doubt has anything to do with this. I will continue monitoring and I will try to remember to update this if anything else comes up. Thank you again to anyone who contributed thoughts and advice.

I'm telling ya man... you gotta inform them of the powertrain malfunction TSB and they will swap out the module for it.

It comes and goes because it's a miscommunication. Not sure what all this other mess is on this thread but it's not the issue.
