Yesterday I got a warning message on my dash. I can remember if it was service vehicle or the engine. We had gotten 4" of snow yesterday so I parked on the curb with my flashers on and engine off till I cleared the driveway. When I turned the truck back on this warning with a yellow wrench appeared on the dash. The truck appeared to be running normally. When I parked it in the garage I turned it off, waited 30seconds & turned it back on again, the same message came up. This morning on start up I got the same message, but the truck was running normally so I drove to work ( about 1.3 miles) and turned off the truck, waited and turned it back on again & now the message was gone.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what might have caused this warning message??
Also, once at work when I turned the truck back on the engine revved up & it sounded like I had a shop vac running under the hood. This shop vac sound has been happening randomly after an OTA software update several months ago. I assumed that the battery module determined the HVB needed a charge & was recharging the HVB. Is that a correct assumption??? When this has been happening I usually let the engine run for at least a min or more before shutting down but often the engine shuts down on its own.
