Does anyone know the sensitivity of the stock speakers. I added a sub and I am now satisfied with the base but I want a bit more volume and clarity without adding an amplifier. I have been looking at a couple of speakers with 92 and 93 decibel sensitivity. I would love to know what the stock units are for comparison?

I wouldn't worry about it overly much as long as you choose speakers rated for around 50-60w rms. I would try to listen to a set locally or if not read reviews.

You will have problems with high end components rated for 75-100+w but on that kind of budget you can plan to get an amp.

Nobody would ever know. I doubt Ford even would. Almost anything will sound better, but may not be louder.

agreed. I think the bigger question is what sounds good and works OK without an amp. that's a thing that can be defined and opinions offered.
