Security alarm issues

Security alarm goes off if truck is unlocked with a programmed key.
I had a key cut (not a fob) and programmed and it works for starting and driving the truck.
But I have the above problem. Anybody have solution. Reading the manual gets me no where.

That's normal for modern vehicles where remote fobs are standard. There's no RFID authentication that occurs at the door lock and they presume you'd use the fob (or door keypad) so it triggers the alarm until you insert and turn the key at the ignition. Basically it's so the vehicle can alert you if someone opens the door in any fashion without it being electronically unlocked first.

Well that sucks I don’t like carrying that huge fob and accidentally setting off the panic alarm.
any way to disable the entire alarm system?

Maybe locking the door with the key after you get out? Not sure if it gets armed if you don't press the lock button inside or on the remote.

Do you have the door key pad, either wired in or stick on? If so, it will arm or disarm the alarm system as well as unlock the doors/tailgate.
