That is very uncool and it would be great if you got nailed by the emissions police. A lot modifications to a Maverick are fun and useful but when you go frigging around with exhaust emissions just for a bit more sound or throttle response, you are in fact irresponsible.

But functional for now. I'm getting a 3" downpipe with high flow cats and catback exhaust that will replace all of this.

On a side note, I was looking at my exhaust system and saw this vent near the tailpipe. Any ideas on what it is for? never seen anything like it in 50 years of working on vehicles!
