Seatbelt Buzz

Hello all!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve searched the forum, but didn’t see anyone else mention the same issue I experienced yesterday.

I hopped in my truck to head off to work yesterday morning. Nothing special. Just another day.

Shorty after firing it up, I noticed a metallic buzzing from behind my ear. It seemed to be coming from the driver’s seatbelt height adjuster. And it was present anytime the engine was under power. Foot off the pedal—no buzzing. This continued all the way to work and all the way back home.

It’s such a small thing—I’d like to handle it on my own if possible. It’ll save me time. Does anyone have suggestions on fixing this?

I’m at just under 14k miles and still loving this vehicle! Purchased back in September. Thanks in advance for the help!

Does the noise change or go away if you change restraint adjuster height in B pillar?

After two days, the noise quieted down. I hear it occasionally, but that’s it.
The day it was very noticeable was colder than normal BUT we have had far colder days in the region since I purchased the truck.

Changing adjust height did not help. If I yanked on the seatbelt, forcing it to lock, it would stop buzzing.
