There is a flap in back of the seats that is attached to the floor,so I can not push the straps under the seats to secure them. What am I missing ? The truck is a '26 XLT lux package. Thanks.

I can take a look at my seat and try and help but
I cannot visualize the area you're describing. Can you take and post a picture of it please?

Ok, I got the tie downs through, with a few nicks to my hands. I think it is all good from now on.

I used a piece of metal (the long edge of a small framing square) to push it down in there.

Also, it might be easier as a two person operation, one in the back of the seat to grab the strap.

I agree, a two person job. It is all done now, except that something is preventing the top section of the back seats from latching. And of course ,I can't figure it out.
