Screws found in passenger side floor

I wonder if your dealer had installed a temporary tracking device, and removed it before purchase? Passenger side floorwell has the inside fuse box.

Maybe, but usually the trackers are attached in-line with the OBD port, which is in the drivers foot-well.

I had my last Ranger's dash apart some years ago..
Would say some component screws, probably caught in the trim and have finally worked their way out...

As long nothing is smokung, your fine..
