How easy is it for someone with a boxcutter to cut through the material? Is there a video from the manufacturer showing what it can stand?

I will see if there is a durability test out there. I would say if security is a priority for you, I would look into hard tonneau covers with locks. Most soft tonneaus can be easily cut through.

I can only imagine it would take half a breath to slice through it with a sharp knife. If someone really wants something, they'll find a way to get through anything. I wouldn't believe any fabric product claims of being slash resistant. I think Lock Picking Lawyer did a stint of those tests at some point.

Traveling and staying at hotels would probably be my only worry. Otherwise I'd never leave anything half valuable in the bed around town

Hah, thanks! I end up folding it roughly in half underneath first and then start rolling under. Makes it so much easier than rolling the whole length

I like the cleats and bar on that kit you have and I was looking at the other pictures on the amazon reviews for it and found that it has a lot of uses! You can use a tall t rack with it too or you can use a low profile roof rack and put a cargo box on it! I have it saved to purchase!

It is a nice little set up. I got it in preparation to mount a rooftop bike rack over the bed but I haven't figured out what mounts I want to go with. For now it is nice having extra tie downs and the ability to strap things down on top of my hard folding tonneau.

Its not as waterproof as say a hard tonneau cover with seals, but it is water resistant and keeps the bed mostly dry. The support bars help to stop water from pooling. The material does not let water seep through it. It's like a thick polyester/nylon material. They market it as water resistant

This looks quite neat. I was considering the Flated topper, but this may work? However, this has been out for 3 years, and there's hardly any reviews out there? That is concerning. There are tons of reviews on the Flated Air-Topper.

**18 MONTH OWNERSHIP WARNING**

I was originally convinced to buy this cover by this thread and I wanted to share my experience and issue a warning for anyone looking to buy it. I'll start with my minor complaints and follow up with my main issue with the cover. Overall, I am not impressed with the quality. 18 months in and limited usage and one of the pull tabs ripped right off, the rubber is peeling off of the border strip that goes across the tailgate and the neoprene sleeves for the supports are starting to peel off.

These are minor issues compared to my biggest struggle with the cover, which will only affect you if you live in cold climates and only seriously affects you if you park your truck outside. In freezing temperatures the rubber border is EXTREMELY difficult to stretch! Not just at first like the website says. If I want to use this product at ALL in the winter I need to either leave it on ALL WINTER LONG or drive my truck to a friends house to warm it up in their garage! It is honestly so frustrating knowing that if I need to roll it up, I will not be able to use it again for the rest of the winter without a struggle.

If you live in Texas, you probably love it. But if you're in the great north like me, BUYER BEWARE
