interacted with the other people in the car.
That was the whole purpose of distracting us with entertainment. Parents did not appreciate the type of "interaction" us siblings had with one another or them.

"MOOOOMMMM! He's looking at me again! Make him stop!"

"DAD, how much longer? I'm hungry. Why are the street signs green? ... But why? ... But why?"

hahah. I got lucky. All my cross country trips were moves that involved multiple vehicles. That little turd... I mean, my brother rode with dad and I rode with mom. And mom drove fast!

Dang, when I was a kid we just looked out the window or interacted with the other people in the car.
[/QUOTE]

we had the station wagon with rear facing seat in the back so it was a constant quest to get a reaction from the driver behind us - making faces at them etc.

Our Hornet Sportabout wagon didn't have a rear-facing seat, but my sister and I still rode in the back sometimes. We'd point up at some nonexistent thing in the sky with a shocked look on our faces and look for reactions.

We have a 2023 Tuscon PHEV. I drive alot of highways and power for merging and passing is a must for me. I crossed shopped the Santa Cruz with my Maverick but was not impressed with the non turbo engine. To get the Turbo engine you have to go up to the higher trims well over $40k. So that is a deal breaker for me. If they made the turbo standard across trims or added a phev or hev version I would have been interested.

We played license plate Bingo or some shit...this was back in mid-60's to early '70's range. The worst was driving from Little Rock to Destin in July in the backseat of a 1965 VW Bug with my annoying-ass older sister. No a/c, of course.

So, by your reckoning "they're trash"?
And, yet, you bought 3 of them.
That tells me all I have to know.
Yeah, that I learned my lesson.
That you didn't understand the point I was making tells me all that I need to know about you.

A/C was rolling down the windows.
