curious would you modify the first option so it doesn't sit as high? I'm considering it and chopping it down, but from what I can see there's bolts running vertical into the vertical pipe which might be a concern. Can keep one set of vertical bolts and chop the other end, depending how thick the aluminum walls are

Personally, if it is something you might do on a regular basis, I'd go for one of the more polished setups using the Elevate TS Rails and either the Elevate CS Rack or those Angry Elephant Rack setups. If it is something you might only use once a year, then the HF ones might suffice, but they are kinda ugly in that shiny aluminum.
