Thismany roof leak reports, where?...
It was others commenting from that thread. Not the original thread. People are providing all sorts of reasons why there might be leaks. My original post is also not about the sunroof. That thread has nothing to do with a sunroof leaking.
Yes that's why it's a question from my post title. As in, is this where people are getting leaks from? Some people have replied this third light being an issue in other Ford trucks. See others' responses. This

Agree with the silicon caulk. I have a Toyota SUV that leaked through seam by the roof rails. Silicon caulk was the best solution.I had f150 that leak around the 3rd roof light and just reseal with some silicon caulk . no problem for 18 years .
I can’t seem to find the thread in the forum. I do know we were talking about only using the tilt function and not fully opening it regularly as there is a plastic clip inside the sunroof track it runs on that is there to slow the closing to keep the window from breaking. Overtime and use will cause the little plastic clip to be pushed further and further back in the track. The repair isn’t cheap as the whole sunroof has to be taken out in order to get to and replace the little plastic piece. This has been an issue on MANY ford vehicles with sunroofs. My MAv has a Sunroof, with zero leaks. Would love to know where you read these comments
glad you edited your orig post about "many reported roof leaks", it makes more sense now. still suggestions of possible leak points is far from reported leaks. glad yours isn't actually leaking, that would be bad.To clarify, I mean leaks that can't be found and seep down into the truck. And the roof being the possible reason. Not the water visibly dripping from the roof into the cab itself. Some people suggested it's leaking through the windshield for example. Only seen these reports on MTC and YouTube so not sure of it's prevalence.
Ya, wording read a little weird. Thanks.glad you edited your orig post about "many reported roof leaks", it makes more sense now. still suggestions of possible leak points is far from reported leaks. glad yours isn't actually leaking, that would be bad.
There have been a number of people that have had water getting in and posts about remedies. Seems like A few had a problem with some rear door seals. Seems some were installed incorrectly or were damaged.I've seen many people posting about leaks that can't be found, and there was a post about the rear third light as a possible cause. I noticed on my brand new Lariat that there is a space at the top of this light (see photo) where water could get to, although I believe there is a gasket there to prevent it. However, does everyone's space look like this one? Wanted to find out in case there's a solution needed to prevent future problems.

There is about an 1/8" gaposis on mine, no leaks to date.
I know F150s did this. Was a cause of the cab corners rusting out. No leaks inside.I've seen many people posting about leaks that can't be found, and there was a post about the rear third light as a possible cause.
