ROLL UP or FOLD UP bed cover -- pros and cons?

I prefer the fold up. I park outside, and have to deal with snow. A fold up soft cover has a frame that adds support the soft rolling covers don't have. Also, the installation is so simple on a Gator SFX I can take it off in a few minutes if I need to.

Not really? Mine doesn't fold up against the window -- it always has the last portion over the bed (which is why being able to take it off quickly is helpful for the rare situations that I need to). If you regularly need full access to the bed, a roll up can be a better choice.

Agree with the trifold softtop, which is what we have.

More affordable, and easily handled by one person to take it off or put it on as needed. (Lightweight, and easy to stow in the garage … Or even in the bed of the truck if you are out and about and need more room in the bed for something,

Suits our needs, anyway.

I just got the BakFlip MX4 which is way above your budget. It does fold against the back window. My friends has a 2022 Maverick and got a rolling cover. When I mentioned that I was concerned about the cover blocking the back window to use the entire bed he gave me some good advice.

He said, when you need to use the entire bed, whatever you have in the bed is probably going to block your view anyway so you can't see out the back.

Which one did you get, I got the ford roll up with my points, buyers remorse!
Years ago I had a snap soft cover that I could take off in minutes.
