Looking for suggestions on Rock Rails & more skid plates to replace those weird felt pads they put under the Maverick. Also, I'm assuming the 2025 Maverick Tremor has some sort of factory rake - has anyone leveled out their 2025+ Tremor - and what did you use?

Rock rails are only going to reduce your ground clearance and provide little actual protection as they will be attached to your pinch welds.

Rival makes skid plates for your entire underside, probably the best you’ll find - for about $2200 all in.

I can’t stress enough the Tremor is not a rock crawler. It lacks the gearing and low range to crawl effectively.

It’s a soft roader. Trail runner. And a great one at that - but don't fool yourself into thinking it can handle a lot of low speed rock crawling. That is not the purpose of the Maverick Tremor.

JCR makes skid plates and sliders that attach to the skid plates (not pinch welds, they are real sliders) but only for ecoboost.
If you have a hybrid you have to go with Rival skid plates and no real rock slider option.
I just ordered the gorhino dss sliders to install myself. But I know they are for looks and not real sliders.

OP - this is simply not true. Straight from the JCR website:

Again - skip the rock sliders as they don't provide real protection when attached to the pinch welds and the Tremor is not meant for rock crawling.

Your drilling through the pinch weld but fastening to the Evap Skid, hence why its required. I believe they do this so they don't loose ground clearance. I can't find it now, but I remember seeing a article talking about how the sliders can hold the vehicle weight, and are true sliders, like they claim above. True is doing a lot of talk there. I agree if its just on the pinch weld, but I don't believe it is.

If you’re drilling through a pinch weld you’re fastening to that pinch weld.

Their website makes no claim about being able to handle the weight of the Maverick - more than 3K lbs - because pinch welds simply cannot do that.

To each their own - I would have never installed JCR gear on my Bronco and it’s not a good spend on the Maverick.

Nice, great follow up. So it absolutely attaches to the pinch weld.

Pretty telling that JCR didn't know there was a high strength boron steel piece to the pinch weld, nor were they aware of what a carbide drill bit is for metal.

$2200? I just went to to their website and everything they make only comes to $1616? Did they recently massively reduce the pricing? In fact, they don't even list half of their pieces for the ecoboost/Tremor, only the hybrid gets the full set listed.

Ah yeah $1619 plus shipping and tax is going to put someone close to $2,000 and you're going to need to have the underside skid plates installed professionally or at least have access to a lift to aid your install. But yeah - it is not as much as initially thought.

I'd also put some money aside to replace the provided hardware.

I've got the front skid and will be adding the cat skid when it is back in stock. Over time I plan to have them all put on.

Shipping for the engine skidplate and cat skid is only showing $68 for me. I can't add the two other skids for a total estimate because they are on backorder right now. I am in NM and they are in TX, but surely shipping isn't that bad to where you are??
